Our staff members are the heart and soul of our practice. Each member of our team is handpicked for their dedication to providing exceptional care with a touch of kindness and empathy.
Karen L. Richter, MD, FAAFP
Dr. Richter is a highly regarded, compassionate physician who graduated with honors from Guilford College in Greensboro, NC. She earned her medical degree from East Carolina University with honors and completed her Family Medicine residency at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro, NC.
The concept of Luminocitè Medical Aesthetics began with Dr. Richter’s desire to empower self-care in her community. She believes self-care is a necessity for positive health and well-being. Dr. Richter believes in a client-centered approach, both in educating her patients and working together with them to enhance skin health and getting each patient to the best possible version of themselves. She pledges compassionate care, excellence, and a commitment to long-lasting relationships.
Dr. Richter, is the mother of two daughters, Jessie and Lilly, enjoys running, gardening, and traveling in her spare time.
Montana Felton
Montana joined Richter Family Medicine & Wellness in October of 2021. You will probably speak with her most when calling our office to make appointments, however, she assists with drawing blood and taking vitals when needed as well.
On top of working as a receptionist for our practice, she is also a trained veterinarian assistant and continues to work for the Banfield Foundation part-time. When she’s not at work, Montana enjoys reading, writing, and spending quality time with her devastatingly handsome son, Harvey.
Katlyn Walls
Coming from the small town of Trinity, NC, Katlyn graduated from Randolph Community College in 2018 with an Associate in Science. She then began her undergraduate schooling at UNC-Greensboro, graduating with a BS in Biology. She worked as a home care companion with a nursing facility until she began her career at Richter Family Medicine & Wellness in September of 2021 as a receptionist.
Katlyn is now our referral coordinator and clinical specialist. You are likely to see Katlyn when a referral needs arises, checking you in for your appointment, having vitals taken, having blood drawn, or receiving an IV. Katlyn loves to spend time with her family and church family, as well as volunteer and travel.
Leah Perry (CMA)
Leah is an AAMA Certified Medical Assistant, who is extensively trained in both administrative and clinical duties. Leah graduated with an Associate’s in Applied Science from GTCC in 2020. Leah feels lucky enough to have completed my internship at Richter Family Medicine & Wellness, which resulted in her being hired June of 2020.
Leah’s responsibility is to provide patients with high-quality of care, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, customer services, and treating everyone with kindness and compassion.
Jamie McCain
Jamie has been part of the Richter Family Medicine & Wellness team since 2018. She started out as our Certified Phlebotomist and has since worked her way up to becoming our beloved Practice Manager.
When visiting our office, you can find Jamie hard at work whether it be drawing blood, answering phones, or taking care of billing issues.
In her free time, she loves spending time with her family, friends, and fur babies.
Jessica Webster
Jessica came to Richter Family Medicine & Wellness in August of 2019, where she began her role as receptionist.
Not a stranger to North Carolina, Jessica grew up in Randolph County. She attended Randolph Early College High School, where she graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Arts. Later Jessica attended Dermacademy in Kernersville, where she earned a certificate of completion and later obtained her Esthetician License in 2021. Since obtaining her esthetician license, Jessica has been contributing to the growth of our new medical spa.
Jessica loves to spend her free time with her dogs Indie and Bentley.
Melissa Molina (CMA)
Melissa is a Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA) that is cross-trained in clinical and administrative duties as well as being bilingual (Spanish and English). She graduated from GTCC in May 2021 earning her Associate’s degree in Applied Science. Melissa has been with Richter Family Medicine & Wellness since her internship in Spring 2021 and was offered a position to officially join the team in July 2021.
Melissa regularly attends continuing education courses to advance her skills and knowledge in Medical assisting. Melissa is dedicated to building strong relationships with patients while providing optimal patient care in a calm and caring environment.
